Members 2025 Meeting Dates

At our February Members Meeting, we changed our Bylaws to extend the LVA’s business year. We’ll be taking the summer off, as usual, but we’ll meet in May and September so we can keep working to accomplish our goals for this year. Two of the big ones are reaching some resolution on the Warren Avenue property and making progress on its eventual transformation and updating the Bylaws. There’s other work to be done as well.

Paula noted that our September meeting would coincide with Labor Day, which would likely keep some members from attending. The recently amended Bylaw (Article I, Section A) also says that meeting dates can be changed in extenuating circumstances; and trying to get a quorum on the tail end of a holiday weekend would certainly make meeting more difficult for some members. The Board has therefore decided that the September meeting will be held on the second Monday of the month, rather than the first.

Patricia said she had read that posting meeting dates in January for the entire year was a good practice. It’s a little past January, but here are the meeting dates for the rest of the year. They will also be posted at Chillas Hall. We hope this will make it easier for you to plan for your attendance.
