It’s Been a Wonderful Year!
As the year draws to a close, the Lanark Village Association’s Board of Governors would like to extend our sincere thanks for your continued support and participation in our community. We are grateful for your contributions and involvement, which help make our neighborhood a great place to live.
As a direct result of your support, we were able to accomplish a lot in 2025, including hosting regular events such as Bingo, Game Night, and Coffee with Friends.
We danced together.
And dined together.
We celebrated holidays together with the Valentine’s Day Dance and Dessert, a Halloween party, and community meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
We organized successful fundraising events such as the Silent Auction and Chili Cookoff.
We hammed it up and partied down.
But we worked hard, too. We made good progress on cleaning up the old Lanark Village Water and Sewer building. We repaired and replaced sections of the storage yard fence and removed a dead tree from the Warren Avenue property.
We hosted workshops focused on topics relevant to our community, such as disaster preparedness, emergency response, and navigating electronic access to our Members Meetings.
With the addition of Exercise with Laura and Zumba Gold, we worked together to stay healthy and fit.
We honored long-time volunteer Aileen Benson with a luncheon and the dedication of flowering bushes on the lawn of Chillas Hall.
Our beloved community center got a new dishwasher, a new water heater, and a new water filtration system. Its stoves were cleaned and serviced. We were also the recipients of an AED and a small generator, which can be used to provide some power in an emergency.
And it doesn’t stop there. We have other exciting plans for the upcoming year. One project we plan to accomplish is making Chillas Hall more accessible for all through the purchase and installation of new front doors and an automatic door opener. We hope to make progress with the ongoing work of turning our Warren Avenue property into a space that is welcoming, useful, and safe for residents. We also plan to install new cameras in the storage yard to enhance security for our renters.
Most importantly, we will continue to provide opportunities for residents to get to know one another, to nurture friendships, and to enjoy being part of a fun-loving, supportive community.
We look forward to another rewarding year with you all.
